This article lays out the influential magnitude and importance of language to the many aspects of the individual and societal life. I appreciate the depth and number of logical points presented to support the article. This issue has so many factors involved with it, especially the value of the individual human being and what is best for him, that it will spark heated debate for years to come. More is to be said on this issue, but someone recently gave me a perspective to chew on concerning it, saying (paraphrased), "I'm sure glad God did not make us learn Greek in order to be saved." I understood his gist, and learned that much more must be considered, at the very least, before I can or would speak confidently on the issue; nevertheless, "Nations", is a very good post to read and ponder.
