Many "do not want to live in fear" so, in other words, do not tell me anything unpleasant... My heart is so heavy because of our sins and judgement deserved. One of the things I have noticed when reading the history of Israel is that they feared the gods of the nations around them when God told them to fear Him only. In their fear they made high places to burn incense to these gods and they erected statues of them to make sacrifice, hoping to gain favor. I am reminded that I am to fear the God of heaven only! No matter what comes, let's keep the fear of the Great God Jehovah before us at all times. I will fear no other god as the gods of this world have been defeated at Calvary!!! Our enemies power lies in making us afraid - they may look terrible, but they do not match on any scale the terribleness of Jehovah.
