As time progresses the Word of God promises man will wax worse and worse, “ and the perilous times will come.” We are now in such a day and dealing with such men. A double curse is that such wicked men are our countrymen and elected leaders. President Obama has sought to put a yoke upon us that is beyond burdensome.

And nowhere is God more sovereign than in the heart and conscience of man. In the spirit world, the First Commandment (“Thou shalt have no other gods before me”) is the battleground […]

Three Michigan pastors launched a Federal lawsuit challenging recent 'hate crime' legislation as unconstitutional. If any references denouncing homosexuality or condemning it as 'deadly' behavior fall under this so-called crime definition, then reading certain portions of the Bible would make criminals out of preachers and Sunday school teachers.

The Continental Congress 2009 has convened in Chicagoland, Illinois. It is meeting to articulate grievances regarding the U.S. government’s abuse of power and disregard for Constitutional law. It will then determine what to do if the government decides to ignore the grievances. A public petition will be circulated to raise awareness and garner support. The declining rate of Bible literacy in the United Kingdom is at the heart of the transformation of a once thriving and vibrant society flush with national success and worldwide influence. The once great British Empire led the world in scientific discovery, economic vitality, military ability, and humanitarian compassion. Some might argue that these indicators were the reason for their success as a nation. However, the Bible advocate understands that these national accomplishments are the result of a greater societal understanding.

Every soldier and public servant covenants by solemn oath to defend the Constitution of the United States from all enemies, “foreign and domestic.” We sing, “land of the free and the home of the brave”, thousands of times a day across this country. We pledge allegiance, “to the republic”, in countless venues, and a myriad of times in our life. Are such commitments poppycock? Is our rhetoric without understanding or truth? I have personally preached a score of sermons related to the commitment of good citizenship and the uniqueness of our heritage, charging good Christians to be good Americans. I have weighed the times and the seasons, the costs and the ramifications. It is time to stand up and be counted for right, and align clearly against wrong in our National life.
